SPECTACLE DE TUMBA FRANCESA

The tumba francesa is an atypical and unknown dance, yet it is registered in the cultural and intangible heritage of UNESCO. It was imported in the region of Santiago by the Haitian slaves who had to flee with the French colonists at the time of the revolts of the XVIIIth century and who settled in the region, developing thereafter the coffee industry. Fascinating costumes (18th century style), African rhythms and Creole lyrics. Tuesday and Thursday nights only!
