Parque Marti is the main square of the historic center of the city. It houses the churches of the Parroquia Mayor (16th century foundations) and Nuestra Señora del Buen Viaje (1852). The former was restored with funds from the Faya-Bonet family after the 1939 earthquake. Note the beautifully crafted altar inlaid with gold leaf, as well as the Moorish-style ceiling and the elaborate mahogany vault. This is where it all happens in Remedios. This is where you eat, have your coffee, participate (or not) in public life!

Belle place en plein centre-ville de Rémedios,ou tous les habitants de la ville se retrouvent assis sur les bancs à l'ombre des arbres à regarder les scènes de vie de cette paisible ville qui devient un peu folle pour noël...
