Located in the house where José Antonio Echeverría was born in the town in 1932, the museum provides a historical overview of the wars of independence and the revolution. José Antonio Echeverría is famous for his speech known as the "three minutes of truth". On March 13, 1957, he broke into the national radio station and hijacked the airwaves for 181 seconds, the time needed to deliver his anti-Batista speech. He was killed a few blocks away.
