BIBLIOTECA NACIONAL JOSÉ MARTÍ

Built in 1957, on the famous square then called Civic Square, the National Library is surprisingly unoriginal. Massive and rectilinear, its concrete facades may surprise at first sight. The vestibule is finished with a polychrome stained glass window, representing the different branches of human knowledge. Inside the very Soviet building, there are vast and functional reading rooms. A huge bibliographic collection.
