DON CANGREJO

It is a little far away, if you stay in the Vedado or in the centre of Havana, but, to celebrate and listen to live live music, in an atmosphere worthy of a great music festival, it really is here that you must come. Concerts of well-known and recognized Cuban artists are held from Thursday to Friday from 22 a. m.; they place the atmosphere from a large scene overlooking the terrace where the spectators are located. We dance, we drink a good mojito accoudé at one of the two large outdoor bars and you have fun until the end of the night, all along the water… Because Don Cangrejo is set by the sea, making the places really pleasant.

However, we regret the prohibitive prices now practised for some concerts of Latino stars. During our last passage, a concert by the Cuban reggaeton El Jackal artist was at 30 CUC per person, including for the Cubans. When you know that Cubans earn on average between 15 and 20 CUC per month, you will understand this here the selection is done by money… And don't dream, rates are non-negotiable and les will be all the more heinous if you try. Not very socialist for an institution that belongs to the Cuban state…
