On the square of the same name, this church has undergone two major stages. First built in 1529 in a Gothic style, on a former mosque, it was partly destroyed by an earthquake. And its reconstruction in 1531 will follow the Renaissance model designed by Alonso de Covarrubias, with Rodrigo de Gibaja as his master stonemason. From its Gothic period, it has only preserved the chapels near the apse.
