Built in 1881 by Tamil migrants, this temple is dedicated to the fearsome goddess Kali, wife of Shiva. Veeramakaliamman means "Kali the Brave". She is depicted with several arms armed with swords and tridents, a necklace of skulls around her neck, trampling a corpse, symbolizing the destruction of evil. Both feared and venerated, Kali embodies divine power and justice. The sanctuary is richly decorated and the atmosphere is one of great devotion.
