MASJID ANGULLIA MOSQUEE
Located in the heart of Little India, the Angullia Mosque is one of Singapore's oldest Muslim places of worship. Built between 1890 and 1892 with funds bequeathed by a Gujarati (West Indian) merchant, it bears witness to the Indian Muslim presence in the city. Although the building has been completely rebuilt, its ancient portal with its elegant arches has been preserved and listed. After a major renovation completed in 2020, the mosque now welcomes up to 2,500 worshippers. A religious center, a place of exchange and an important community service.
