NO.5 EMERALD HILL

No. 5 Emerald Hill was the first bar to open here in 1991, in a superb 1910 Peranakan shophouse. Very popular, it's advisable to arrive early to find a seat, both inside and on the terrace. Its relaxed atmosphere and location on one of Singapore's prettiest streets, just a stone's throw from the bustling Orchard Road, make it an attractive address. Upstairs, billiards and darts prolong the evening. A well-stocked cocktail list, cold beers and a few savoury snacks to accompany; smiling, efficient service.
