The Capitol Theatre is an iconic Singapore landmark. Designed in neo-classical style and inaugurated in 1930, it was the work of British architects Keys & Dowdeswell, who also designed the Fullerton Hotel. Restored and reopened in 2015 as part of the "Capitol Singapore" project, it now hosts cinema, shows, concerts and receptions. Its special feature is its ingenious rotating floor system, which enables the room to be transformed in less than 30 minutes into a flat space ready for events.
