Charming hotel with just 12 rooms, but all of them are unique, superb, more comfortable and furnished with care.

Only twelve rooms for this charming hotel, but all are unique, superb and extremely comfortable. Great attention to detail has gone into the design of each room, and you'll find yourself immersed in the history of Georgetown. Woodwork and screens, paintings and tiles, cushions and carpets... everything is beautiful and tasteful. The breakfast is succulent: copious and homemade with great refinement. The in-house restaurant, Il Bacaro, run by Roberto, serves the best Italian cuisine in town.

Silver leaf

A beautiful, soothing room with high ceilings, decorated in glamorous silver hues, and an eclectic mix of contemporary furniture and an antique chest of drawers, a spacious bathroom with walk-in rain shower. Relax and enjoy the comfort of a sumptuous Super King bed (can be converted into twin beds). Paon

A magnificent room, with high ceilings decorated with a magnificent screen depicting a peacock behind the bed, furnished with a desk and chaise longue blending oriental essence and modern comfort with a heavenly King bed and en-suite bathroom with walk-in rain shower. In Hinduism, the peacock is associated with Lakshmi, a deity representing benevolence, patience, kindness, compassion and good luck.

Indochine

Serenity and color reign in this beautiful, spacious room with high ceilings, decorated with framed antique fabrics from Indonesia and Burma, furnished with a French Renaissance armoire and a colorful antique console and armchair. Indochine offers guests the modern comforts of a heavenly custom-made Super King bed (can be converted into twin beds) and a spacious bathroom with walk-in rain shower decorated with uniquely designed Peranakan tiles.

Sari

Malaya, the latest addition to Campbell House, offers a modern twist on traditional Malay style, using hand-dyed batiks and wood carvings to create a striking and unique focal point. Furnished with a sumptuous Super King bed (can be converted to twin beds) and a daybed offering the option of accommodating an extra person or child (subject to additional charges), as well as a desk. The en-suite bathroom features a spacious rain shower and vanity unit.

Opium

A unique room located on the front corner of the building, giving it an unusual curved appearance. A king-size bed sits proudly alongside the room's modern comforts and amenities. A spacious bathroom with walk-in rain shower, superb mirror and vanity unit, plus an original clawfoot bath for relaxation and indulgence!

Songbook

A superb room with very high ceilings and exposed original beams. Quiet and spacious; Songket features a Super King bed (can be converted into twin beds) and a beautiful bathroom with walk-in shower. Named after the beautiful Songket material traditionally made with gold or silver thread that sparkles on its colorful background fabric, an antique example is framed in the room, true Malaysian heritage.

Rose

A magnificent room with very high ceilings and exposed original beams. The focal point of this room is a huge Baroque-style mirror behind the sumptuous King Size bed, set against a backdrop of detailed Rose wallpaper. An eclectic mix of Chinese and European-inspired furniture adds to the luxurious setting, with a private bathroom offering salvation from the heat with a powerful walk-in rain shower.

Calligraphie

Hand-painted "Peace" with magnificent strokes of traditional calligraphy hangs behind the celestial Super King bed (can be converted to a single), a profound poem of strength, all adding to the Chinese-inspired feel of this magnificent room. Chairs with mother-of-pearl inlays and a side table inlaid with antique coins all sit comfortably alongside the modern amenities and en-suite bathroom of this unique room.

Colonial

Relax in a sumptuous handmade king-size four-poster bed and be transported back to the bygone colonial era of Penang. A magnificent room with exceptionally high ceilings and exposed beams, a writer's desk and an old wing chair to enjoy that freshly brewed cup of English tea! Located on the second floor with easy access to the rooftop terrace; a spacious bathroom with Italian rain shower, this room is a luxurious treat and an excellent escape from the madding crowd!

The Loft Suite

An unusual duplex suite at the top of the house! Enter the separate living room and access the bedroom via a hand-crafted wooden staircase to the gallery bedroom with a sumptuous king-size bed and en-suite shower room.

Les hôtes et les employés étaient vraiment charmants et accueillants. Nous avons reçu de bonnes recommandations pour la ville. |L'hôtel lui-même est un bijou, magnifiquement conçu et plein de charme (n'oubliez pas de prendre un apéritif sur la terrasse). De plus, il y avait une petite surprise du chef dans le frigo à la fin de la journée. |Le petit déjeuner est servi dans le sympathique restaurant italien situé en bas de l'hôtel (recommandé par le guide Michelin), qui propose une bonne variété de plats à la carte pour bien commencer la journée.

Wow ! ???? Notre séjour à Campbell House a rendu nos vacances en Malaisie encore plus magiques.

Merci au personnel qui était attentif, bien informé, accueillant et généreux de son temps. La chambre était configurée de manière réfléchie et nous avons eu l'impression d'être dans le luxe - et nous en avions bien besoin après l'ascension de la colline de Penang !

Nous avons adoré le délicieux petit-déjeuner et nous recommandons vivement le Kaya !

Idéalement situé pour une promenade passionnante dans George Town. L'équipe est superbe ; nous avons reçu d'excellentes recommandations pour la nourriture et les expériences comme Hin Bus Depot et Lagenda. Et il y avait toujours une friandise dans la chambre à la fin de la journée. L'installation unique a ajouté au plaisir de notre séjour. Merci pour cet excellent séjour.

L'un des meilleurs hôtels de charme dans lequel j'ai séjourné. Tout était parfait, la chambre était élégante et super confortable, le petit déjeuner était délicieux.
Chaque jour, à notre retour, le personnel nous a laissé un bonbon différent dans le réfrigérateur, ce qui est, je pense, un geste adorable.
Merci à Andrea et au personnel pour cet agréable séjour ! Tout le monde a été extrêmement serviable et accueillant. J'aimerais beaucoup y retourner !

Nous avons passé deux nuits dans la chambre Opium. Un hôtel très sympathique et accueillant. Notre vol est arrivé à 21h00 et nous avons réservé le transport par l'intermédiaire de l'hôtel. C'était génial de voir un panneau avec notre nom à notre arrivée. Lors d'une précédente visite à Penang, nous avions fait la queue pendant une heure pour un taxi et nous n'avions pas pu obtenir de voiture de location. Nous sommes arrivés à l'hôtel à 22 heures et avons pu prendre un dîner rapide à base de pâtes au restaurant I'L Bacaro, ce qui était merveilleux après une longue journée de voyage.|Notre chambre était très confortable et les fenêtres avaient un double vitrage, donc même si nous étions dans le centre de Georgetown, nous avons bien dormi.|Tout le personnel était gentil et joyeux. Kumar à la réception et le maître d'hôtel du restaurant ont été particulièrement serviables et agréables.
