DIVERLAND GAN

The Diverland Gan diving school is run by three English- and German-speaking instructors. Manta rays are present all year round, due to the abundance of plankton in the waters, which are little protected from marine currents. The atoll is also home to the largest shipwreck in the area: the British Loyalty, a 140-metre vessel torpedoed by the Japanese during the Second World War. She lies between 16 and 30 meters. Last but not least, the north of the atoll is still home to beautiful colonies of hard coral, thanks to limited bleaching.
