Velana Airport is the entry point to the Maldives. It is often only a transit point before boarding a boat, domestic flight or seaplane to your final destination. It is important to note that the importation of alcohol or religious icons is prohibited in the Maldives. As a result, your carry-on bag will be scanned on arrival, which slows down the access process considerably. A waiting lounge has just opened for super-VIP customers.

aéroport ayant un petit duty free, on en a vite fait le tour, si votre avion a du retard mieux vaut avoir un bon livre car on n'a pas réussi à avoir une connection wifi gratuite

Petit aéroport des Maldives. Le personnel est neutre et souriant. L'aéroport dispose de peu de portes d'embarquement.
Les formalités douanières sont plutôt rapides et le passage aux portiques de sécurité est normale ni trop lent ni vraiment rapide non plus. Aéroport sans vraiment de charme

Petit aéroport qui possède néanmoins une piste pour recevoir les vols internationaux,une deuxième piste est en construction. Rien de bien "folichon" dans cet aéroport, à l’extérieur un petit air de Maldive avec les hydravions en toile de fond.
