Traditional festival honoring the small, distinctive-sounding guitar and instrument of.

The mejorana is a small guitar with a special sound that you will hear in the orchestras of the Azuero peninsula. The festival of Guararé, a peaceful village near Las Tablas, pays tribute to it at the end of September, during the patronal festivities in honor of the Virgen de Las Mercedes - nicknamed locally "La Meche" - with folk music concerts, float parades, and beautiful queens in traditional costume.
