This site, discovered in 1924, confirms the presence of an indigenous population on these lands between 700 and 1000 A.D. Mounds of earth revealing the presence of tombs and an alignment of large stones (funerary?) brought back somehow from the mountains more than 20 km away from the site... Several teams of archaeologists follow one another according to funding. A part of the excavations is in two museums of New York. The Panamanians hope one day to recover them! To be continued..
