"SYNAGOGUE" CHURCH

Situated inside the souk, this church was built in the th century by the crusaders on the presumed site of the ancient synagogue where the young Jesus was preached. It was controlled by the Franciscans until 1741, before the Ottomans took control of the region. Another, larger church was added in 1887 by the Greek Catholic Melkite church.
