On route no. 12, a track leads to the only spring in the region: Ein Netafim, the "spring of drops", which is fed almost drip-fed. A 4 x 4 is required to reach the parking lot, then follow the marked trail. The spring is sheltered at the bottom of Oued Nefatim and protected from intense evaporation by the shade of the surrounding cliffs. A pond fills up more abundantly in the rainy season, when a waterfall flows down the wall. At dawn or at the end of the day, gazelles, rock damsons and gangas can be spotted at the watering hole.
