Located on a hill on the edge of the Ayalon Valley, the village of Neve Shalom - Wahat al-Salam, also known as the Oasis of Peace, is a village established jointly by Jews and Palestinian Arabs, all citizens of Israel. The village's main activity is educational work for peace, equality and understanding between the two peoples. Today, the village comprises 50 homes and offers a binational educational system for children, a framework for encounters between the two peoples ("School for Peace"), a pluralistic spiritual center ("Doumia - Sakinah") and a guesthouse.
