WOHL ARCHEOLOGY MUSEUM
This museum is located in the heart of the Jewish quarter, where excavations have uncovered the former «Hérodien» district of Jerusalem (second half of the first century BC), hence this other name of the site: The Herodian Quarter. The houses, discovered during the reconstruction of the Jewish quarter after 1967 and the reunification of Jerusalem, were those of rich families of priests who were working in the nearby Temple before his destruction by Titus. There are frescoes, mosaics, stucco decorations, ritual baths and everyday objects.
