Area that includes many religious and administrative buildings in Colima

The oldest remains on the site date back to 1500 B.C. It includes numerous religious and administrative buildings, houses, a street and drainage system, a ball game and an underground burial chamber. One of the main attractions of the site is the orientation of the main pyramid towards the Volcán del Fuego, forming a magnificent picture. In 2018, researchers discovered more than a hundred petroglyphs there, spanning more than three millennia.
