Dusty museum that traces the history of the city of Valladolid from the pre-Hispanic period to the revolutionary era
The Museum of San Roque is housed in a 16th century building that served successively as a church, chapel and hospital. Legend has it that it was in the garden of this building that the rebels who started the uprising of the Mexican Revolution were shot. This dusty, old-fashioned museum traces the history of the city of Valladolid from the pre-Hispanic period to the revolutionary era. The four exhibition halls house some very beautiful archaeological finds from the site of Ek'Balam.
