Palace that is one of the masterpieces of the Puuc style in terms of architecture and sculptures in Uxmal

Almost one hundred metres long, the Governor's Palace is one of the masterpieces of the Puuc style in terms of architecture and sculpture. Some specialists claim that it is the most beautiful work in Mesoamerica. It consists of 3 long platforms superimposed and surmounted by a temple. The bas-relief that decorates the facade of the temple is very elaborate, adorned with a multitude of stone mosaics, which are arranged to represent the shape of snakes and more than 250 masks of Chac, the god of Water and Rain.
