The airport is 35 minutes from Tuxtla and 1h15 from San Cristóbal de Las Casas. After collecting your luggage, head for the exit where you'll find cabs and colectivos. The journey to the center of Tuxtla takes about 40 min and costs around $50 by colectivo or $250 by cab. To get to San Cristóbal, a cab costs around $1,000, while a colectivo costs around $240 per person. It's best to withdraw cash before you leave.

All national destinations from a major Mexican bus station, not to mention regional destinations: San Cristobal, Palenque, Comitán, Ciudad Cuauhtémoc (border with Guatemala), Tonalá, Tapachula. To save time, consider booking your tickets in advance on the company's website. If you can't, you can always do it at the ticket office in the station hall (which is what many locals do).
