In this must-see market in Oaxaca, you can find everything: fruits and vegetables, local delicacies, cheeses, mole sauce, mezcal, as well as shoes, clothes and other colorful trinkets. But what really makes it famous is its corridor of barbecues where meats such as tasajo (marinated goat) and cecina (salted meat) are grilled. You are offered a small tray of raw onions and chilies that you stuff withasados (grilled meats) until you have a bar on your stomach, and that's it. Extrasensory experience guaranteed.

La zone au sud du Zocalo de Oaxaca est populaire et occupée par de nombreux marchés sous halles et marchands à l'extérieur. On y trouve un peu de tout, dont de superbes robes mexicaines.
