In this area, away from the tourist and commercial hustle and bustle, there is another option for real popular and family cuisine from the region: tamales, memelas, empanadas... you'll be spoilt for choice in this local colour market, which was opened just fifty years ago. You can also come and do some shopping, between the fresh fruit and vegetable stalls, those selling decadent pastries or beautiful flowers. There is also a butcher, but we can't guarantee the freshness of the meat.
