PIRÁMIDE DE CUICUILCO
Located in the middle of two main roads, the Cuiculco pyramid would be the oldest pre-Columbian construction of the Mexico City Valley to date. Some researchers consider that its construction dates back to the year 6000 BC, but this assumption does not make consensus, and other archaeologists are building its construction in the year 600 before J.C. The reasons for the circular form of the pyramid, which is unique in Mesoamerica, have not been clarified either. In fact, the story of the pyramid of Cuiculco is full of mysteries, which only reinforces the magical atmosphere of the place. The Pyramide pyramid is located halfway between Coyoacán and Xochimilco. You can easily stop there if you visit Ciudad Universitaria or visit the floating gardens of Xochimilco. There is a small museum inside the archaeological zone.
