This church is one of the city's most precious artistic treasures. This impressive Baroque temple, built in the early 18th century, is home to numerous works of religious art, including an altarpiece by Manuel Tolsá and a painting by Juan Correa depicting the Virgin of Pópolo. Other works, including a large collection of paintings produced between the 17th and 19th centuries, are housed in the pinacoteca adjacent to the church.
