On the outskirts of Coyoacan, the Estadio Azteca is one of the largest football stadiums in the world. It can hold up to 105,000 spectators. It was built by Pedro Ramirez Vazquez and Rafael Mijares Alcérreca in 1962. It is one of the only football stadiums in the world to have hosted two World Cup finals: in 1970 between Brazil and Italy, and in 1986 between Argentina and Germany. Football fans can check the match schedule on the website. The tram from Tasqueña leaves you right in front of the stadium.
