Mexico City Arena is the largest in the world: they are referred to as "The Monumental" ("the Monumental"). They were inaugurated in 1946 when relations between Mexico and Spain resumed. Winter is the high season for bullfighting (November-March). Famous toreros from Europe and Latin America offer a great show. The places are cheap. The arena accommodates more than 41 000 people, twice as many as Madrid. To go, take the metrobus on Insurgentes and get off at the station Ciudad de Los Deportes. Plaza de Toros is a 10-minute walk from Holbein street.
