CENTRO ARTESANAL MOXOS

This small centre offers local Moxos handicrafts: ceramics, wood carvings, masks... You can also find the bamboo nuvovo, a flute used with drums for Carnival, and the pifano (also called nujeru), a slightly curved flute with a high and warm tone, with six small rounded holes and made from the upper bone of the wing of the jabiru(Jabiru mycteria), a large wader related to the stork... Easier to carry for travellers, necklaces and bracelets are also on sale.
