CERRO UCHUMACHI

This mountain is located 6 km from Coroico, at an altitude of 2,500 m, and the hike is only for the most athletic with about 800 m of ascent. Above the Esmeralda hotel, follow the path, you will reach a small chapel, then continue... to the top. You will cross forests, fields and a bit of everything. At certain times of the year, the hill is littered with orchids. One of the paths leads to waterfalls, the other to the mirador, and from the top, the superb panorama offered is worth the effort. It takes about 6 hours to get there and back.
