About 15,000 inhabitants. Probably the prettiest and most pleasant village on the Jesuit mission route. Concepción has kiosks, cheap restaurants and some shops. Life revolves around the church square, which is huge compared to the town, and in the middle of which stands an imposing JHS cross, the symbol of the Jesuit order. A few cuadras from the square, the paved streets give way to ochre dirt tracks... On Sundays, the locals gather around the Represa Zapocó, a stretch of water, to play football, barbecue, fish or take a dip.
