At 3 km from Tupiza, this admirable site exhibits superb reddish rock formations. The path of Palala leads us to El Sillar (the saddle), an impressive viewpoint. The rocks have been cut by climatic phenomena, giving them the appearance of a petrified forest. It is necessary to go up in altitude, by the road towards San Juan, to fully appreciate the beauty of the site. In summer (December-March), the rains transform the place into a real river.
