Here is the opportunity to make a nice stroll around Tupiza, which can be combined with the visit of the Quebrada de Palmira (count a full day on foot and half a day on horseback). El Cañón del Duende is an impressive canyon, named as a result of the rock formation at its summit strangely resembling… an elf (duende)! It is above all a pretext to enjoy the splendid arid landscapes of the region, with geological curiosities in multiple colors that evoke the good old western with Terence Hill.

Opening time and information on CAÑÓN DEL DUENDE

On leaving the town, head towards the Puerta Del Diablo, and before reaching it, take the main track on the left towards the south (Quebraca Seca) and you will reach the "elf canyon". If you want to go there after the visit to the Quebrada Palmira, on your way back take the right track after passing the Devil's Gate. We advise you to visit it on horseback.
