FESTIVIDAD DEL SEÑOR DE MILAGROS

This religious festival, which takes place in Punata, 45 km from Cochabamba, has been recognized as cultural and intangible heritage of Bolivia. It gathers thousands of faithful. People come to worship a statue of the deity of the "Lord of Miracles", the crucified Christ, brought in 1943 from Burgos, Spain. The particularity of this statue, only 50 cm high, is a 3 cm glass opening in the back, at the level of the belt.
