The train is by far the best way to reach Uyuni from La Paz, economical, faster than the bus and much more comfortable. Prefer the Ejecutivo class, the only one with heating. For the economic classes, do not forget a blanket. Departures to Uyuni, Tupiza and Villazon are four times a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays at 3:30 pm with the Expreso Del Sur (more comfortable) and on Wednesdays and Sundays at 7 pm with the Wara Wara.

Buy your tickets two days in advance (one can buy them up to one month front in class “ejecutivo”). Between 32 Bs for the Oruro-Uyuni connection in class “popular” in Wara Wara, 47 Bs or 60 Bs in “salón”, 102 Bs and 120 Bs in “ejecutivo”. The Transcopacabana company with the bus terminal ensures of the special connections in the bus from/to La Paz. L’Expreso del Sur (Tuesday and Friday) is comfortable, better than Wara Wara (Wednesday and Sunday). To approximately 6.30am About trip for Uyuni.
