From Pelechuco, this trek follows an ancient Inca trail and descends towards the Madidi National Park, until the village of Apolo. After the ascent of a pass at 4,700 m, gradual descent towards the tropics and the Amazon. The landscapes are fabulous: crossing the Apolobamba mountain range, culminating at 6,045 m, to the Tuichi river, at the gates of the Madidi park. The opportunity to see the rich fauna of this reserve. Guide required.
Duration: 7-8 days.
Difficulty: 6 to 7 hours of walking per day, for experienced hikers in good physical condition.
