The La Paz railway station is now out of action. However, you can still buy tickets for the only train in circulation (theExpresso del Sur between Oruro and Villazón, serving the stations of Uyuni, Tupiza and Atocha). Please check in advance, as trains do not always run, due to track damage. Tickets can also be purchased online (which we recommend). Service: Oruro > Villazón every Monday, Villazón > Oruro every Thursday. Try it out if you want to get from Uyuni to Tupiza!
