The Font-Sainte sanctuary has been a place of pilgrimage since 1886.

At an altitude of 1,230 meters in the commune of Saint-Hippolyte, the sanctuary of the Font-Sainte has been a place of pilgrimage since 1886, dating back to much earlier times, to the 6th and 7th centuries. At the beginning and end of the summer season, the two processions of the "montade" and the "dévalade" take place, during which the statue of Notre-Dame de la Font-Sainte goes up from the church of Saint-Hippolyte to the chapel of the Font-Sainte, and then comes back down.
