MAMANDLO ET YEMAYA

Just before arriving in Saint-Pierre, a sign indicates their presence. Created by the Martinique artist Laurent Valère, Manman Dlo and Yémaya are two monumental mermaids that rest in the bay of Saint-Pierre at a depth of nine meters. They are located about fifty meters from the shore and their presence is indicated by a yellow buoy. Over the years, a reef has been created around them, and today they attract an important underwater fauna and flora. They are accessible to all and can be observed with a mask and a snorkel.
