Opposite the marina, here is a colorful and lively stop to stock up on local fruits and vegetables, depending on the season, in a 100% Creole and friendly atmosphere. The place naturally provides fresh fish brought back by the morning fishermen, but it also offers a wide range of meats and of course black pudding. There is also a good choice of liqueurs, shrubs, local spices and handicrafts. The atmosphere is typical of a village of the south of the island. An essential stop during your stay.

Un petit marché où l'on peut trouver facilement des spécialités martiniquaises: acras, boudins antillais, gâteaux à la patate douce ou à la goyave. En face, il vous sera possible d'acheter du poulet boucané. Les fruits et légumes sont nombreux mais il manque souvent de maturité. Bon accueil. Les enfants sont très bien reçus.

Ce matin nous avons été faire un tour au marché couvert du Marin et nous en revenons très déçu. Sur l'échoppe de Rose les prix etaient intéressants, et au moment de payer les prix au kilo ont doublés ! Exemple pour le melon 1,80e/kg affiché et 3,5e/kg à la caisse ! Et lorsqu'on lui fait la remarque, elle va retourner l'étiquette de prix et le melon passe à 3,50e !!! Et en plus elle nous engeule. Je déconseille ce marché...
