Bruno, a Guadeloupean with an engineering background, became a cane glassblower. After 3 years of training in the glassmaking arts, he founded VerreWI (Verre West Indies), Guadeloupe's first Caribbean art glassworks, to promote the island's cultural heritage. Through his unique creations, he skilfully blends tradition and modernity, offering objects that celebrate local identity and craftsmanship. His workshop-boutique is located in a relaxing setting. The boutique is brimming with unique, locally-inspired creations, such as the "Ka dansé" lamp series, the "dlo koko" service, the "Domino"... all referencing moments in West Indian life. You can also order a personalized piece to treat yourself or to offer a unique gift (worldwide delivery possible).
Bruno opens the doors of his workshop to you for an introduction to glassblowing and/or glass painting, which includes an initial presentation of his art, how the activity works, tool discovery, safety briefing, followed by the blowing stage of the creation according to the chosen theme. Then comes the phase of cooling and finishing your unique piece, which you can pick up the next day. Several introductory courses are available: "Themed creations" lasting 30 minutes, accessible to children aged 5 and over, "Free creations" lasting 75 minutes, and a 240-minute family introduction (maximum 5 people), accessible to those over 14.
