Distillery preserving traditional know-how and respecting the different stages in the production of white agricultural rum, with boutique.
For three generations, the Damoiseau family has been perpetuating tradition by producing a white agricultural rum distinguished by its aromatic richness, thanks to the sunny terroir of Grande Terre, Guadeloupe's historic cane-growing area. Damoiseau rum is sold in France and in over 40 countries worldwide. The 70th anniversary celebration in 2012 had already produced a 10-year-old rum. The distillery celebrated its 80th birthday in 2022, with the release of a 2017 white rum: L'Expérience 69 overproof reduced over 4 years, and a 15-year-old aged in 2007.
Every year, Damoiseau rum wins awards at the Concours Général Agricole at the Salon de l'Agriculture: in 2025, Gold rums, XO aged rum and pineapple-vanilla arranged rum won 3 gold medals at the Concours Général Agricole.
The distillery remains faithful to traditional know-how, respecting the essential stages of the process (harvesting and crushing the cane, fermentation, distillation, dilution and ageing from a few months to a few years, depending on the cuvée). The estate's windmill has been restored by the Compagnons to preserve this key element of the island's heritage, once the cornerstone of the plantation's economy.
Don't miss a visit to the La Cabane à Rhum boutique, where you'll find a varied selection of rums for tasting, as well as battery syrup, recipe books, handicrafts and custom-made rum glasses featuring Damoiseau rums: Faber and Bessarion barrel carriers.

Free visit. The distillery is open every day from 8am to 5:30pm, except Sundays and holidays.
Owner's Message
The agricultural domain and the corresponding industrial installation of Bellevue au Moule were founded at the end of the 19th century by Mr. RIMBAUD, native of Martinique. Mr. Roger DAMOISEAU father, acquired them in April 1942 and they have remained in the DAMOISEAU family patrimony since then. They are currently managed by Mr. Hervé DAMOISEAU. Damoiseau rums, leader of the Guadeloupean market with 50% of the market share, are present in mainland France and exported to over 40 countries.

Une visite guidée (6€ par personne) d’1h30 suivie d’une dégustation de quelques rhums et punchs produits sur place ????
La visite guidée est très enrichissante et passionnante menée par un super guide qui saura répondre à vos questions et vous faire comprendre le processus de fabrication du rhum, qu’il soit blanc ou ambré.
Je vous la recommande, allez-y les yeux fermés !
PS : n’oubliez pas de passer par la boutique pour y ramener quelques bouteilles ????
