DACHA BEACH
A beach with clear waters, welcoming families during the day and lively at night when lit up, popular with snorkellers.
This small popular beach with clear waters has a panoramic view of the islet of Gosier and the lush Basse-Terre in the background. Many bars and restaurants are located on this site. In the evening, the atmosphere of the beach becomes more animated, because it remains lit until 11 pm. During the day, the beach remains quieter, although very busy, because it is very popular with Guadeloupean families especially during weekends and vacations. It is an ideal place for snorkeling, a little trip in a kayak or a pedal boat. It is also the place of predilection of many joggers that one can cross very early in the morning or at the end of the evening when the sun rays are less aggressive.
This body of water, which is very popular with the local population, is the subject of a first phase of development of a floating rope water line between the Gosier islet pier and Anse Canot so that swimmers can now swim in complete safety, as kite-surfers, jet skiers and boaters, who have become increasingly numerous in recent years, no longer have access to it. The bathing area will be extended by a second water line between the Tabarin cove and the Gosier islet.
Also planned is the creation of an anchorage area at Anse Tabarin to accommodate boaters with light equipment services (drinking water, cyberbase, laundromat, etc.) so that the commune of Gosier can benefit from a better maritime attractiveness.
