SAINT-ROCH CHURCH OF LA GURRAZ
This religious building, dating from the beginning of the 17th century, is part of the Chemins du baroque® of the Fondation Facim.
It is in the Vanoise massif in the Tarentaise valley, and more precisely in Villaroger, a mountain village perched at an altitude of 1,090 m, on the left bank of the Isère river, that the Saint-Roch de La Gurraz church is located. This religious building, dating from the early 17th century, is part of the Facim Foundation's Baroque Paths®. It was built on the site of a chapel dedicated to the saint, but also to Saint Théodule and was consecrated in 1729. Among the many interesting elements are a painting from 1839 by J.-B. Cavalière du Cameau, a painting of the Virgin of the Seven Sorrows and an altarpiece from the Rosary.
