This tour allows you to follow the industrial history of Ugine since the foundation of the steelworks at the beginning of the 20th century by Paul Girod and the resulting physical transformation. As a reminder, in 1903, Paul Girod, a Swiss industrialist, founded the Société Electrométallurgique Procédés Paul Girod. He set up his factory here and prospered very quickly. The architectural remains of this period make it possible to measure the economic and technological dynamics and the important impact of this character on local history.
