13 th edition for this Tango festival. From the outskirts of the Rio de la Plata to the mountains of the Alps… Sacred journey for tango… A tribute to a common and moving history: the immigration of hundreds or even thousands of high Mauriennais to Latin America, especially Uruguay and Argentina in the middle of the nineteenth century. Driven by the search for a better life, they leave their families and their alpages. After several generations of true "rioplants", the Festival de Tango de Val Cenis makes them a poignant tribute through this music, identity par excellence.
