Perched at an altitude of 2,270 meters at the bottom of the wild Ambin valley, this refuge offers basic but comfortable accommodation, with dormitories and home-cooked meal options. The meals served are appreciated for their quality and for the conviviality of evenings spent around the communal table, sharing stories with other mountaineers. It's the starting point for many hikes, notably to Lac Noir, which takes 2h30 to reach. To get to the refuge, park in the Maroqua parking lot and follow the path.
