Visit of a remarkable clog factory in Marcolès, to learn about all the precise steps of clog making.

French and proud of it, the sabot, esclop in the langue d'Oc, is essentially made of wood. It appeared around 1480 and was once worn with hay in winter or fern in summer, or even with fragrant flowers! As soon as you step in the door, the smell of wood in this almost hundred year old space (1925), invites us to live a beautiful story. In front of you, the clog maker carries out all the steps of the manufacturing process and gives this lesson a delicious and admirable authenticity. The association Los Esclops offers guided tours of the clog factory and the village.
