The jewel of Baroque art in Savoie, with a sundial and furnishings, in Aime-la-Plagne.
In the 17th century, the church underwent a period of expansion in the flamboyant Baroque style, a change that caused friction between the clergy and local residents. The rich gold and polychrome ornamentation decorating the church's interior tells interwoven tales of faith and daily life. Restoration work has been undertaken to revive the church's splendor. The architecture, a true testament to changing aesthetic preferences, bears witness to the neoclassical influence that marked the 19th century.
